  1. Measure room to determine how much crown moulding wood you’ll need. Purchase the wood at your local home center.
  2. Prepare your work space by cracking a window (not literally!) and turning on a fan to increase ventilation. Or if you can work in the garage or the backyard that’s even better. Cover nearby valuables with drop cloths to protect them from spray mist as well.
  3. Mitre crown moulding at corners with a mitre saw/box.
  4. Mask off any areas on the chandelier that you don’t want to be painted. Of course it’s really best to remove these parts and set them aside. But if you choose to leave them attached, cover them with newspaper and masking tape.
  5. Apply the Rust-Oleum® Ultra Cover 2X Primer spray to wood moulding, rosette and chandelier surface. Follow instructions on can.
  6. Next, apply the American Accents® Authentic Patina Kit to all pieces following application tips and drying times on American Accents Patina Kit.
  7. Hang moulding and touch up nail holes with wood filler. Touch up any “boo-boos” with the Patina finish. (You’re only human!)
  8. Invite the in-laws over for dinner so they can admire your creative handy work. (Serve something yummy!).
